Architecture Intent
Strategic Vision
- What we are building: An integrated Architecture Intelligence Platform enabling a continuous loop between Business Intent, Architecture State, and Code Implementation.
- Why it exists: To eliminate the 15:1 governance velocity bottleneck by embedding governance directly into operational delivery via ReasoningOps.

Current State Alignment
The system is in a state of 'Critical Persistence Lag'. Implementation of core primitives (Work Registry, Governance Portal) has outpaced formal decision recording, creating a 22:1 proposal-to-acceptance imbalance.
Focus Areas / Roadmap
- Phase 1: Governance Reconciliation (Backfill ADRs for Work Registry and Portal).
- Phase 2: Governance Triage (Process or prune the 22-item backlog).
- Phase 3: Business Intent Schema Definition (Establish structural requirements for BRD/Context ingestion).
- Phase 4: Knowledge Graph Implementation (Transition from document-based to graph-based traceability).
- Phase 5: Automated Drift Remediation (Implement 'Detect-Analyse-Execute' loop).
Gaps & Tensions (Risks)
- Governance Velocity Breach: Intelligence generation speed exceeds human review capacity.
- Implicit Core Implementation: Critical primitives are 'DONE' in implementation but 'PROPOSED' in governance.
- Business Intent Disconnect: High strategic priority for intent integration but zero implementation evidence in current AEM.
- Drift Persistence: Formal ADRs are lagging behind the actual system state, leading to 'un-governed' stability.
Principles
- Decisions are Central: No capability is considered 'Done' until its ADR is 'Accepted'.
- Traceability over Abstraction: Every architectural insight must be linked to evidence in code or intent.
- Governance as Participation: Architecture governance must be a participant in delivery, not an external checkpoint.
- Human-in-the-Loop Authority: Automation generates intelligence; humans authorize the evolution.
Emergent Heuristics
velocity_calibration: When the proposal-to-acceptance ratio exceeds 5:1, new feature development must halt for a Governance Triage cycle. intent_priority: No Architecture Work (AW) should reach 'Active' status without a direct link to a Business Intent signal.
