Architecture Intent
Strategic Vision
- What we are building: An Architecture Intelligence Platform that establishes an end-to-end semantic bridge between business requirements, architectural decisions, and code implementation.
- Why it exists: To move beyond manual pattern extraction into a continuous alignment model where architecture participates directly in operational delivery and identifies drift in real-time.

Current State Alignment
The system is currently in a state of 'Critical Lag' due to the reliance on placeholder intent data and a backlog of 22 unprogressed proposals. While the governance foundation (Registry, AEM) is stable, the bridge to business intent and code-level verification remains unformalized.
Focus Areas / Roadmap
- Phase 1: ReasoningOps Recovery - Replace placeholder intent data with validated strategic objectives to enable baseline reasoning.
- Phase 2: Governance Sanitization - Purge dummy artifacts and formalize ADRs for 'emerging' patterns (diagram-governance, prompt-as-code).
- Phase 3: Automated Alignment - Implement the DAE Loop to reduce persistence lag between the AW Registry and the AEM.
- Phase 4: Business Bridge - Finalize the Business Intent Schema and pilot mapping against the CAS 2026 Vision document.
- Phase 5: Code Intelligence - Integrate structural analysis tools to detect architectural boundary violations automatically.
Gaps & Tensions (Risks)
- Strategic Vision Lag: Placeholder data in intent artifacts prevents effective automated reasoning against target baselines.
- Formalization Debt: Key patterns like 'prompt-as-code-separation' are in active use without governed ADRs.
- Persistence Latency: Significant time delta between Architecture Work completion and its reflection in system intelligence maps.
- Business Intent Gap: Lack of a governed schema for tracing portfolio requirements to architectural decisions.
- Data Integrity Risk: Presence of dummy/placeholder items in the authoritative registry compromising machine reliability.
Principles
- Decisions are Central: ADRs are the primary source of truth; all system changes must derive from a recorded decision.
- Traceability over Abstraction: Every architectural claim must be linked to evidence in code, conversation, or documentation.
- Continuous Participation: Architecture governance must be embedded in the delivery flow (GovernanceOps) rather than a periodic review event.
- Rules as Constraints: Prioritize machine-readable rules and automated context loading over static policy documents.
Emergent Heuristics
boundary_containment: Prefer strict evidence isolation for target projects over shared context to minimize cross-project reasoning pollution. deterministic_contracts: Mandate deterministic generator contracts to ensure consistency in automated artifact generation. governance_priority: Prioritize 'Strategic' impact items over 'Medium/Low' priority operational tasks to clear the vision lag first.
