Architecture Intent

Strategic Vision

  • What we are building: An Architecture Intelligence Platform that connects business intent, architectural decisions, and code implementation through a continuous ReasoningOps loop.
  • Why it exists: To eliminate the persistence lag between implementation and governance, ensuring architectural integrity at the speed of delivery.

Current State Alignment

The system is in a 'Critical' alignment state. While strategic vision is clear, the authoritative registry is polluted with dummy data, and implementation status is ahead of formal governance records (ADRs).

Focus Areas / Roadmap

  • CRITICAL: Purge all dummy data and placeholder identifiers from the Architecture Work Registry.
  • HIGH: Synchronize AEM generator to derive item stages strictly from 'accepted' ADR status.
  • HIGH: Execute formalization sprint to promote 'READY' orchestration patterns to authoritative ADRs.
  • MEDIUM: Implement the 'Automated Detect-Analyse-Execute Loop' to reduce the 22-item governance backlog.
  • FUTURE: Integrate the Architecture Knowledge Graph for cross-project lineage tracking.

Gaps & Tensions (Risks)

  • Data Integrity Pollution: Placeholder 'dummy_string' entries compromise machine-reasoning reliability.
  • Lifecycle Derivation Violation: Implementation stages (DONE) are disconnected from governing decision status (PROPOSED).
  • Formalization Debt: Core patterns like 'prompt-as-code' are active in production without formal ADRs.
  • Governance Bottleneck: High proposal-to-acceptance ratio indicates a need for automated governance participation.

Principles

  • Decisions over Documentation: ADRs are the primary source of truth, not generated summaries.
  • Evidence-Based Intent: Every architectural claim must be linked to implementation or conversation evidence.
  • Governance is Operational: Governance must be a continuous participation model, not a gate.
  • Integrity First: Automated reasoning requires 100% semantic reliability of registry data.

Emergent Heuristics

TrustCalibration: System trust is inversely proportional to the volume of unmapped implementation patterns. BacklogElasticity: When the governance backlog exceeds 3x implementation capacity, automation must be promoted from 'supporting' to 'primary' reasoning.
